Pro Tools on the iPhone?!

This is incredible.  A fully functional Pro Tools remote with 8 touch sensitive faders and transport control?  Amazing!  Apparently, since it runs over WiFi or EDGE network, you could theoretically control your Pro Tools rig from anywhere in the world with internet or cell service.... not that you'd ever WANT to...

The best part of this is that it allows a musician to adjust the levels on their rig without getting up from the drum kit or the piano in the iso booth.  Talk about increasing productivity - when recording alone, getting up to mess with levels is a huge monkey wrench in the creative process.

Take a look at this video of the software in action:

Now we just have to hope that Apple allows it to run when they open up the SDK to 3rd party developers...  Anyone want to place a bet?

The idea is great, now who knows if it will end up working. I'm pretty sure though that the sliders we saw in action were a video on the screen. There are some discrepancies in what hes doing.

Keep in mind that there is SOME latency, so the changes wouldn't be absolutely immediate. I was watching with a critical eye, I didn't really see anything that made me suspicious. He is offering this software to beta testers right now, so I think it's legit.

I wrote the software and I can assure you I don't have time to make fake videos. Any discrepancies you see are either the fault of me or my software. I is real and it will be going into a public beta next month sometime. You can try it for yourself then.
